“If we want to change the present state of female representation in the advertising industry, we need to start by hiring women.”
As young female creatives, Audrey and I realised that there were not many women role models we could look up to, especially at senior levels. There’s still a lack of representation in our industry and a lot more can be done to better balance the gender gap in advertising.
So on International Women’s Day, we launched a simple initiative — a platform to highlight women creative portfolios so that agencies can search for talent easily.

For the week of IWD, we received countless of positive responses from people in the industry, both local and overseas, and were met with many thoughtful messages from our fellow female creatives who showed their appreciation. We even got as far as a newsletter feature on Muse by Clio!
Since then, the repositories have not only continued to grow but recruiters and agencies have been actively looking for talents through the sites. Through this, we hope to close the gender gap in the creative industry, one portfolio at a time.
